Dawood Al Chanti
Associate Professor (Maître de conférences), Grenoble INP – Phelma. Permanent researcher in the PICSA team, Data Science Department, GIPSA-Lab. Principal Investigator of the ANR JCJC EQUR-XSM project and core member of the PHAIMS project within MIAI Cluster IA.
Biography
I work at the intersection of computer vision and machine learning for medical image understanding. My interests include anomaly detection, uncertainty quantification, segmentation, multimodal learning and explainable AI.
I joined Grenoble INP in 2021, following postdoctoral research at LS2N, École Centrale de Nantes, on medical image analysis and weakly supervised deep learning.
I received my PhD in Image and Signal Processing from Université Grenoble Alpes in 2019, and an MSc in Machine Learning and Data Mining in 2016 through a joint programme between Université Jean Monnet, Saint-Étienne, and the University of Alicante. My earlier training was in biomedical engineering.
